Future

1. SUSTAINABILITY : The main aim is the excellent day to day running of the school

It is needed to keep and to improve what has been achieved up to now.

  • smooth running of the Kindergarten and the primary school

  • sufficient food supply for the daily needs of the children

  • stationery supply always available

2. UNIFORMS :

No money is available at the home of the children for clothes, which means that their clothes are torn and dirty:

  • supply a school uniform to those who could not afford it, to reduce financial pressure on the parents and make the children feel less self conscious about their clothing

  • this would improve the feeling of membership of the school

3. REINFORCED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE & HEALTHY FOOD:

  • Periodical check-ups of the health status of all children and if needed the possibility to treat diseases

  • fruits, vegetables and meat for all kids every day of the week

4. COMPLEMENTARY EDUCATION:

The goal is to reinforce the education by:

  • social awareness
  • languages
  • reinforce natural sciences
  • IT knowledge
  • creation of a school library and a reading-room
  • improvement of sport activities
  • craft work activities
  • technical education

All those activities require of course material, trained staff and finance.

5. WATER AND ELECTRICITY SUPPLY :

The entire school has to be supplied with drinkable water and electricity. Today most of the children do not drink water during school time.Only some out of them can bring a little bit water from home ...

All the installations have to be done in accordance with the safety requirements.

6. EXPANSION FROM GRADE 7 TO GRADE 10 :

Today the children can go to school until grade 7, which corresponds to the age of 15 years old. It will be useful to be able to go to school until the age of 18, before finding a job or to go to high school.

7. REINFORCEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF THE EDUCATION :

  • lift the level of the teachers (with the help of volunterrs in areas such as languages, IT, etc)
  • collaboration and exchange with other effective schools (why not European schools?)
  • closer cooperation between the Kindergarten level and grade 1
  • make cultural trips (Etosha, Windhoek, sea etc)

8. HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE PROMISING STUDENTS

The goal is to help promising children to get a diploma. This could involve discussion and negocation with the parents. All the graduated could then help the school, even part time, afterwards.

It is a step by step approach. Today, the organisation is not ready to start some of those objectives.

However one day the level will be reached.

The outmost has to be done to achieve the goal. The children deserve it !
